Okay, so I am in the process of getting my strongest works together so that I can apply for the BFA program and thus further my education in art and hopefully one day do something professional with it.

But here's the thing: Not everyone who applies gets in. Sure, 70% who apply make it, but I am still stressing. My advisor told me that usually people have had more advanced classes then me before they apply. And- the committee that decides if you're in or not grades on technique and concept. I am pretty confident in my technique, but I am worried as hell about concept. My strongest paintings are still lifes- what's the concept behind a fucking still life?! *hits head on desk*

And I am not going to get to meet with my advisor to go over what works to put in the portfolio that could potentially change my life until the day before the portfolio is due!

Yeah.

If you think I stand any chance in hell of getting into this program, let me know because I want someone besides me to think that this is not a total waste of time.
