So- I am pretty pissed at my ceramics teacher right now. He was going to start a kiln going with my sculpture and this other girl's sculpture thing, but he didn't. Apparently, the kiln we had loaded was broken, so instead of loading our stuff (2 things) into another empty kiln and starting it- he took them out, laid them on a shelf, and that's it. He didn't tell anyone that he hadn't fired out stuff or anything. So now, for the third time in two days I am trying to get my sculpture fired. I ended up having to put it in this tiny kiln all by itself. But the damned thing is manual, so in about an hour, I have to go back to the building and change the dial on the kiln. I am SO PISSED. I really don't even care about the other girl's stuff. I was trying to load mine with hers so that we could fill a kiln, but the teacher has kept telling us to have the attitude of get your own stuff fired and only worry about yourself. So I'm being selfish, just like he taught me to be- the bastard. And besides, the other girl decided that since her thing didn't get fired- she'd add more to it. So now it is wet.

Let me explain something. If you fire WET clay- the heat will turn the moisture to steam which will cause pressure inside the clay which will cause it to explode. Yeah. There is no way I'm firing a kiln with a death bomb in it.

*sigh* I am really starting to hate final projects. I got the silscreen thing done even though some of the second batch of t-shirts look kinda goofy. Whatever. And in painting my final painting is a Picasso inspired thing.

I hate Picasso.

It just feels like I can't win.
